I love Madrid!!!

I was a little…underwhelmed by Barcelona. Don’t get me wrong, it is a beautiful city, the Gaudi architecture is stunning, the food is great, it is sprawling and crazy, but I think others just talked it up too much. I was however also exhausted and it was raining a little, so all of these things contributed to my stay.

But coming into Madrid, I had no idea what to expect. More people I know have been to Barcelona over Madrid, so I hadn’t had the same recommendations and stories of awesomeness fed to me. As a result – I completely fell in love with Madrid.

I love the tapas, the sangria and the sprawling yet laid back city. The people were great, the hostel I stayed in was amazing, and I just fell in love 🙂
