Loving Lima

August 3rd, 2015|0 Comments

I've spent the past week in downtown/central Lima and I have to say that I really like it. Before arriving I'd heard differing opinions from those who had already passed through, and surprisingly most people said Lima didn't really 'do it' for them and they were happy to move on. Almost everyone I spoke with both in Australia and since [...]

Independence Day in Lima

July 30th, 2015|0 Comments

I've been traveling through Peru for about a week now, entering the country from Ecuador and traveling along the coast through Mancora and Huacachina. Into the Jungle

July 22nd, 2015|0 Comments

For the past few days I've been traveling through the jungle of Ecuador and exploring a culturally rich world of shaman’s, mosquitos and mud. A 200 year old tree and gum boots. I'm on a Tucan Travels tour at the moment taking public transport between all of our destinations. So to reach the jungle we traveled from Quito [...]

My unexpected Guayaco man

July 16th, 2015|0 Comments

I've written in the past about meeting people on the road. Whether it be in hostels, on tours, in pubs or through Tinder, travelers meet new people constantly and sometimes find someone special. That's what has happened to me over the past few weeks. I met my Guayaco man (man from Guayaquil) in the Galápagos. I didn't expect him, I [...]
